Lisa Sherman
 Lisa Sherman started making films and videos in 1977. In high school she won several local and state awards for creative writing, film and speech. During her senior year in high school, she won both the state speech competition and the state writing competition for the top 7 best student writers in the state of Florida. She became a presidential scholar at the University of Southern California, and she graduated in 1990 from USC film school with a BFA in Film/Television production.
After film school, Lisa worked at first as an assistant editor for feature films and for television series.
She gained experience working at a variety of TV stations, video and film production companies over the years, working from assistant cable runner to producer.
In 1994 she started MediaFX Video Production in Portland Oregon.
"We have steadily grown over the years, starting out very modestly," Lisa says. "Now we produce over 100 corporate projects per year, and shoot for several television programs. Whether our clients have a big budget or small one we treat everyone with the same amount of enthusiasm and desire to make a top quality production."
Recently Lisa has worked as an editor for Lucky forward films edting their award winning documentaries. |

Erik Mayne
 Erik Mayne majored in Business Administration at Cal State University, Northridge. After college he worked as a broker for three years and then began his career in video production in Los Angeles in 1993 as a freelance camera operator.
"I started out as a part-time freelancer more for the fun of it, and it eventually grew into a whole new career for me," Erik says. He worked on a number of productions such as sporting events, theater productions, live events and training videos. He has also worked in a wide variety of environments including helicopters and underwater.
In 1997 Erik came aboard MediaFX Video Production as lead camera operator, and has since moved into editing, directing and producing. Erik’s success at MediaFX Video Production earned him a partnership at the company in 1998 and he has produced hundreds of different projects including television commercials, promotional videos, corporate training videos, professional and championship sporting events, and much more, and has done broadcast camera work for HDNet’s Deadline and World News Report, the Montel Williams Show, Portland’s WB32 and KOIN.
"There’s a Chinese proverb: If you love your job, you’ll never work a day in your life," Erik says. "Even though I put in 60-80 hours a week, there’s so much variety and excitement in my work that I love my career and I wouldn’t want to do anything else! The satisfaction I get is from the reaction of my clients when they see their videos. I always try to set my personal bar higher than my client’s expectations so I never disappoint them." |

Patrick Sherman
An award-winning writer and graphic designer, Patrick Sherman graduated suma cum laude from the University of Southern California in 1992 — ranked among the five best students in an undergraduate class of more than 4,000. He also earned top honors at Willamette University, where he received his Masters of Business Administration in 1996. He has been honored repeatedly by the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association.
At USC, he studied creative writing with T. Coraghessan Boyle, developing the skills that have served him throughout a 10-year career as writer, reporter and editor for newspapers and magazines.
In 2002, he broke new ground by publishing the first fully rendered comic franchise, which was described as “a monorail to the future” by Diamond Comic Distributors.
A professional photographer, Sherman has taken hundreds of published images while covering breaking news — fires, police actions and mass demonstrations — as well as portraits and feature photos.
At MediaFX, Patrick is responsible for writing scripts, conducting interviews, designing inlays and graphic elements for video projects, as well as still photography.
“MediaFX is a terrific outlet for my creative side. There’s a wonderful diversity in the different kinds of videos we produce. I enjoy it and the clients we work with.”
